So what it's February 9th at 4:30pm!
So what Valentine's Day is only 5 days away!
So what I have to finish this by then!
Piece of cake!
Oh, and did I happen to mention that this is also on the same plate?
I just bought the yarn today...and I still have to find the 12 mm eyes for the pig. OMGoodness gracious I think I am going to have a nervous break down. No really. I can almost hear the Dudes in the white coats headed my way.
So why do you ask am I doing this? Well, it appears my cross stitch heart is too, "girly". You know WHO somehow stumbled upon it and wanted to know, and I quote, "What chick are you giving that to?" Really? OMGoodness gracious I could have decked him right then and there on the spot...but that kind of seemed out of order, you know it being a heart and love and all that jazz. I just smiled and said I wasn't sure yet.
Then to top all this off, as he's walking out of the room, he says, "Yeah, Valentine's Day is for chick's anyway." CALGONE TAKE ME AWAY! Remember those old commercials? If you are too young to remember them, then please be kind and don't say so, I already feel like a zillion years old...let's not add more to that, OK! :)
He always loves the blankets I make him. So I thought I'd make this one...it can live for a while in our living room and then when spring comes I'll change it out for the spring color throws. Oh and the pig is just something I think is funny. He loves BBQ and every time we see a pig on a BBQ restaurants sign he makes a comment on how funny he thinks they look, so I thought I'd try to make the pig, too.
So don't be alarmed if I am not around for a few days. I'll try to check in from time to time, but I really need to put my nose to the grind stone (or hooks in this case) if I want to get it finished. I really do think it's do able. I am very fast at crochet (wish I were at knitting, too, but I am not). So there is a chance I can do this.
I have already had a long and hard talk with Mo and Jo and told them both they are not allowed to look at anything new or even think about getting back to the knitted shawl....which I really want to do, but no, I have to stay focused...MUST NOT LOOK AT SHAWL.......
Wishing you all a lovely weekend. :)
